Ridiculous KJV Bible Corrections:
Hebrews 9:10 & Nazi Verses

Heb 9:10 KJV being only (with meats and drinks and divers washings) carnal ordinances, imposed until a time of reformation.

Even though this verse refers to a future reformation, I suspect that Catholic hatred for the Reformation period has inspired most of the word choices that have been used in this verse in place of 'reformation' by modern revisers. These word choices cause the verse to lose much of its prophetic significance, but some of them can at least be defended linguistically (but not spiritually). The translation that is most disturbing, and most ridiculous, is the one of the NIV and the Catholic New American Bible.

NIV They are only a matter of food and drink and various ceremonial washing–external regulations applying until the time of the new order.

NAB … imposed until the time of the new order.

It seems to me that I saw the same wicked translation in a footnote somewhere, but I cannot recall where.

They actually translated this word as 'new order'! Being shocked by it the first time that I saw it, I went straight for my Greek dictionaries. I did not expect to find the word; I just wanted to study the range of meanings of the Greek word itself. I was shocked when I found ‘new order’ as the last definition in Walter Bauer's NT Greek dictionary A Greek Lexicon of the New Testament and Early Christian Literature revised by Gringrich and Danker. After shaking my head in disbelief a light went off in my head and I understood immediately why it was there. I knew that Bauer's dictionary was translated from German, so I immediately assumed that it had been compiled during the Nazi era. Sure enough, when I looked into it I learned that it was first published in Germany in 1947, so its compilation was during the Nazi era, hence 'Neue Ordnug' or 'new order', or what is known in American circles as the New World Order. The Devil had actually signed the NIV in this passage, as an acquaintance worded it to me. Having been an assyriological student at Harvard, I was used to using dictionaries compiled by Nazis, such as von Soden's Akkadian dictionary, but such works would not bear any theological significance in the modern world. This was different. It is indeed disturbing to discover that the Greek New Testament dictionary that is most used by the scholarly community and Bible revisers was the work of a Nazi! Since the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia is derived from the work of another Nazi, Kittel, the modern revisers rely a great deal on the followers of Hitler in their work. I then learned that Bauer's first claim to fame was his book "Orthodoxy and Heresy in Earliest Christianity". The main thesis of this work was that the early heretics of the church were correct and should have been followed instead of those who were responsible for the New Testament canon. So not only was Bauer a Nazi, but he was a supporter of apostasy and the pagination of Christianity. Fools professing themselves to be wise continue to use the work of this apostate to correct our Bible. What more proof do we need that the modern versions are of the Devil. It is interesting to note that the NAB, at least the edition that I own, has a picture of the Pope just after the title page. How appropriate. Incidentally, I watched a popular, but boring video series on biblical archaeology that was put out by Zondervan. A lecturer in the series -- an effeminate sort of male, I might add -- made numerous references to the new order that Christ will bring about. Who is this christ of whom he speaks? It isn't the Son of God.

Luke 21:8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

The preceeding is part of a series of examples of KJV verses that arrogant would-be scholars have tried to correct and showed themselves to be fools. These examples are for the benefit of those who would like more ammunition to defend God's Word against the attacks of the arrogant Bible "correcting" modernists. I hope that some of you find them useful.
